The Ultimate Fort Lauderdale Offshore Boat

28’ center console

The 28’ center console I use was custom restored with precision a few years ago, designed specifically for fishing in Southeast Florida. Its walkaround layout allows us to chase different bites efficiently while keeping charter costs lower than most other boats. It's truly the perfect vessel for our fishing adventures!

Target Species

We target a mix of iconic species inshore, nearshore, and offshore.

Yellowtail Snapper

Yellowtail snapper are among the most popular reef fish to eat in our local waters. While they can be caught year-round, they’re best in the spring and summer months. Chumming brings massive schools to the surface and is a great way to fill the box with delicious meat.

Wahoo

Wahoo fishing is fantastic year-round, especially around full moons. We typically target them in the fall using speed trolling techniques. Wahoo are known for making some of the best sushi in the ocean, adding to the excitement of the catch!

Hammerhead Sharks

Our local waters are home to some massive Hammerhead Sharks, particularly during the winter and spring. These sharks are a popular target for anglers looking to test their strength and hook into a true apex predator of the Atlantic.

Kingfish

Kingfish are very plentiful in our waters and are around year round. We commonly catch them around the various reefs and wrecks in our waters. These fish are very commonly smoked into delicious fish dips and provide a lot of meat.

Barracuda

Barracudas are abundant in our waters and can be caught year-round. Known for their aggression and razor-sharp teeth, they are most commonly found around reefs and wrecks, making them a frequent catch on our charters.

Sailfish

Sailfish are the star species of Southeast Florida, and I love targeting them with light tackle, fishing kites, and live bait. While they can be caught year-round, the prime season for sailfish is during the winter and spring months.

Black Grouper

Southeast Florida is abundant with reefs and wrecks that harbor thriving populations of delicious grouper species. We target them through bottom fishing with live bait during the open season from May 1 to December 31.

Blackfin Tuna

Blackfin tuna are present in our waters year-round, thanks to the Gulf Stream being so close. The best fishing for them occurs during low light conditions, early in the morning and later in the afternoon, and we often spot them around our wrecks and reefs.

Mutton Snapper

Mutton snapper are a common catch in Southeast Florida, found around the wrecks and reefs close to shore. We typically catch them while bottom fishing during grouper season, which runs from May to December.

Amberjack

Southeast Florida is fortunate to have big amberjacks, which we most commonly catch while bottom fishing in the fall and early winter. Known as "reef donkeys," these hard-fighting fish often exceed 50 pounds, and provide a crazy fight.

Swordfish

Swordfishing offers an exciting opportunity for those looking to land a giant and take home some of the best meat in the ocean. We target swordfish with hand crank setups on all-day trips, with average fish weighing between 50-200 pounds, but every outing holds the potential for a 500-pound monster.

Mahi Mahi

Mahi Mahi are present year-round, but our best season for them is in the spring and summer when we can run and gun, targeting schools offshore. This vibrant and delicious fish is a favorite catch for many, making it a popular choice to keep and enjoy on trips!
