I specialize in daytime hand crank Swordfish fishing, the ultimate sportfishing rush!. We have electric reels we can use if requested, but we like to fish the old school way with the hand crank that makes it a lot more fun. You get to go in the standup harness and fish lighter weights, lighter lines, and you get to feel the power of the fish instead of the electric reel doing the work. The average size swordfish we encounter is 50-200 pounds, but any given day you have a chance to catch a 500+ pounder. We are typically fishing 1600-1800 feet deep 15-20 miles offshore with a variety of cut bait rigs. Swordfish fishing trips are an all day thing, usually lasting 10-12 hours. These trips are weather permitting due to the longer run offshore that they require. We can catch them year round!
